This past weekend, Embark-en had the pleasure of attending the Gold Coast Bonsai Club Market Day, and what a fantastic day it was!
As a relatively new member of the club, it was a great opportunity to meet more of the members and become better acquainted with the local bonsai community. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel incredibly welcome, and it was fantastic to spend the day surrounded by people who share the same enthusiasm for the art of bonsai.
Bonsai, Tools & Plenty of Conversation
One of the best parts of the day was simply having the opportunity to talk bonsai. We had plenty of conversations about trees, techniques, tools and substrates, as well as the different products available through Embark-en.
Being an online store, opportunities like these are particularly valuable. It's great to step away from the website and meet the people using our products, answer questions face-to-face and hear what bonsai enthusiasts are looking for.
And, of course, there were plenty of incredible trees to admire and talk about!
New Japanese Arrivals Proved Popular
We were also excited to bring along some of our newly arrived Japanese bonsai products, and the response exceeded our expectations.
Several of the new arrivals completely sold out on the day!
It was fantastic to see such strong interest in the latest additions to the Embark-en range and to hear feedback directly from bonsai enthusiasts. Selecting new products is a big part of what we're building at Embark-en, so seeing customers excited about these additions makes the process even more rewarding.
More Than Just a Market Day
For us, the day wasn't simply about selling products.
Bonsai has always been about much more than the tools and materials we use. It's about continually learning, sharing knowledge, appreciating great trees and being part of a community of people who are equally passionate about the art form.
A huge thank you to the Gold Coast Bonsai Club, its members, fellow bonsai enthusiasts and everyone who stopped by the Embark-en table for a chat, asked about our products or took something new home.
As a new member, I genuinely appreciate how welcoming everyone has been and look forward to becoming more involved with the club and meeting even more of the bonsai community at future events.
